Visual character
Transparent to translucent quartz containing needle-like mineral inclusions, commonly golden, brown, black, or silvery. The inclusions can look sparse, dense, parallel, or crossing, making each bead visibly individual.
From raw to bead
Rough material may hide fine inclusions behind uneven surfaces. A rounded polish improves reflection and clarity, making internal needles easier to see; the exact pattern remains specific to each bead.
Origin & geology
Rutilated quartz is a commercial name for quartz containing needle-like inclusions, often identified as rutile but not necessarily laboratory confirmed in every marketed specimen. Quartz formed around or alongside included minerals in geological environments that allowed both to coexist.

Care & wear
