Visual character
Colorless to milky white, with transparency ranging from clear to veiled. Fine fractures, tiny inclusions, or cloudy zones can catch light and make one bead look more open or more diffuse than another.
From raw to bead
Raw quartz often shows irregular crystal faces or fractured surfaces. Polishing a bead smooths those surfaces, allowing reflections and internal clarity or inclusions to become easier to see.
Origin & geology
Clear quartz is crystalline silicon dioxide. It is a common rock-forming mineral that can crystallize from silica-rich fluids or magma and also occurs in veins, cavities, and sediment-derived settings.

Care & wear
