Visual character
Yellow to golden-brown quartz with a vitreous luster and transparency that varies from open and clear to lightly veiled. Color can appear warmer or cooler as the bead turns under light.
From raw to bead
Rough citrine may show uneven faces, natural abrasion, or cloudy areas that soften its color. Bead polishing increases surface reflection and makes transparent zones and warm internal color easier to notice.
Origin & geology
Citrine is the yellow variety of crystalline quartz, colored by iron-related defects. Quartz crystallizes in several geological environments, including hydrothermal veins and silica-rich igneous rocks; this record does not identify the origin of Veil Loom material.

Care & wear
Quartz materials are reasonably scratch-resistant but can still chip from a hard impact or crack with rapid temperature change. Clean gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth; for a finished Veil Loom bracelet, follow the care needs of the complete composition.
Curator note
Citrine works well when used with restraint. In softer combinations, it feels less vivid and more quietly radiant.
